Quote Just as the body is designed to heal a broken bone, similarly the mind has the ability to heal itself from the traumas of yesterday and the illusions of them tomorrow.
Another beautiful, honest post. I love that you pull tarot cards daily. I do as well, and every Monday, I have motivational blog on which I include a tarot reading. I love sharing, and people really seem to be uplifted or guided by the readings. We all are doing what we can to fulfill our reason for being on this planet in this moment. Sending beautiful vibes to you!
Hello Allison, after reading your book "Blood" I guess I will always in my minds eye view you and your sister as teenagers placed on tradgedy road. Allison you have achieved success with all of your talents the Lord has given to you in spite of ole slew foot, trying to take your success! Thank you Ms Allison and you just go on and have yourself a good day!
Thanks for these wonderful Sunday musings. It may be Super Bowl Sunday, but I was wishing for Soothing Sunday Soul Songs...
Here is the source of the quote."It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.”― Wendell Berry
(I particularly relate to the image of the 'impeded stream' and the hopefulness of the unknown, ongoing journey).
"What the World Needs Now" - A much needed message, and in addition to the beautiful music from Burt Bacharach, props to Hal David, who wrote the timeless lyrics.
May serenity and sweet scents carry you through this day.
The Bible promises that the strength of the temptations we face will be proportionate to the strength God gives us to resist Them. Or as my dear departed mother used to tell me, "God will never give you a cross too heavy to bear." Of course in my youth, I remembered that even Jesus needed help to carry His cross. But you can bet I didn't repeat my thoughts to my Southern "hard-shell" spare-the-rod-spoil-the-child Baptist, mother. The point is, if we are sincere, our past guilt or grievances we carry through life are forgiven albeit not forgotten, and must be put out of our mind so that we may gain peace. - MRVERITAS.SUBSTACK.COM
My brother forwarded this to me as a result of your wish. He is a wise consumer of music and story and knows me well. I found so much to love in this newsletter. And subscribed! All the way around - a win!! ❤️
Thank you ❤️
