Seeing the old classics that we have seen 50 times (on tv or streaming) is a whole other experience in a bonafide theater. Once I saw "The Wizard Of Oz" in a theater and what took away from that experience is that, despite seeing it a bunch of times on tv, I had never really seen it. There is stuff going on at the big screen that one doesn't pick up on at home. I hope the your experience was like that. Nice that you had a good Valentine's day. Last year I spent Valentine's Day in your fair city at Analog seeing Molly Tuttle and The Golden Highway filming a PBS special. Molly's band has more fun on stage than anyone. Speaking of stage, I hope your tease about "some singing to be done" means that you are going to do some shows. That would be cool. I love you. All the best to Hayes, J.H., William and Meglodog❤️❤️
I’m excited for your family trip to the mountains… the weather will be perfect and the moon is nearly full!
What a beyond thoughtful gift from Hayes!! and the lettering is very cool
I know you love it ❤️ maybe you’ll share with us how you decide to frame it?
The red jacket is a winner! I’m glad you decided to wear it to out. Your ensemble had “Valentines Love” written all over it! I also love the belt with silver… It never occurred to me to wrap it the way you did. Like the look a lot
The passage from 7 Thousand is thought provoking. I’m steadily reading but I find so many times I have to read and reread. And then process.
It’s important to me to squeeze every ounce of wisdom out of what I’m reading. Much like I do your writing. I feel right on time with yesterday’s words. Thank you
Always enjoy the photos you share! You have great spaces in your home, Allison! LOVE the green flowers so much … and the candles. Just makes you feel good! And your sweet girl Winnie… what a face. Just loving her family ☺️
Of course, excited to hear more about you & Shelby. Will be the hottest ticket in town. A favorite album of mine. Re Shelby. Her Grammy winner.
Thanks for taking time to write last night Allison. Have a wonderful getaway! Enjoy the family time !
xo
PS really appreciate the word/phrase of the week TY
Whatever is coming down the pike about Shelby's album sounds quite intriguing. Plus, those elephants look "truncacious!" Enjoy your mountain adventures and report back soon.
Thanks for another great list. I love your music posts. This one is spot on. "I Am Shelby" is one of my two fav country albums by a female country singer. Anyone who doesn't own that one, should buy it. My other fav is "The Hardest Part".
Speaking of elephants, I can’t help but mention The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, that rescues orphan elephants (and rhinos!) and gives them the chance to grow up surrounded by their fellow orphans and cared for night and day by their devoted keepers. When they’re ready, they join herds that roam across Kenya. Their stories of rescuing orphans, of their treating elephants injured by poachers, and of their anti-poaching efforts are truly uplifting. And the photos of the elephants are just fantastic. They are such characters! ❤️🐘
"I Am Shelby Lynne" has been on my desert island album list since its debut! Casablanca is a favorite and one that my wife and I try to see anytime they show it at the theater. My two favorite lines are "I don't know..no one has ever loved me that much" (Rick to the girl from Bulgaria asking him advice), rips my heart out every time. And when Peter Lorres character says to Rick "you despise me don't you?" and Rick replies "Well if I gave you any thought I probably would"
I wonder what that says about me that those are my two favorite lines? lol
Thank you. I love how much you give us each Sunday. I usually read it Monday mornings. It is a work to be peaceful with not knowing, as Nepo has written. So much we will get to know, someday,, maybe, along our eternal walk. I did buy Signs, and am looking forward to it. Your Sunday List feels happy and peaceful. May your week continue to be so, as well.

Fell in love with Shelby from the first notes of Your Lies. Anything that comes from that album will be welcome, especially you both.
Casablanca. First time? Wow. One of the best. How about African Queen?
Hayes is one of the luckiest men on earth, and he did good and did right by you.
And I adore that HALF LAB!
JB
PS: I gave my wife 10 lbs of Rancho Gordo Beans for one of her Christmas presents. Like all the other things you've recommended, it scored high.
@allisonmoorer I hope you see this.
JB your wife is a very iucky woman
You can't convince her of that, Sal...
Aaww and humble as well JB
I've told you this so many times but it's true I wait for your Sunday lists cuz it is a perfect way to get my week started
