As usual, I always find a little surprise or two in your Sunday list, Allison. I'm diggin' the Lester Young right now as I write this. Very cool about Miranda Lambert! Have a wonderful week ahead.
Thank you for posting on both Saturday AND the usual Sunday! It’s wonderful how you inspired Miranda, but not surprising, since you have a special quality that touches people in many ways. Funny, I was just thinking about your artwork and your pictures of Scout. I didn’t know if you had the inclination to get back to painting right now.
Stay focused and fruitful with all your explorations as the New Year unfolds.
I just smiled all the way through your post. Still smiling actually. I always enjoy & appreciate the pictures you share. You look TERRIFIC! The clothes you’re wearing are beautiful. I especially like the tweed jacket! And the Sunday brunch outfit is gorgeous! You wear everything so well. And your taste in clothes is amazing. (was happy to see the arrow on your wall. I remember your arrow collection and found myself looking for same)
Such cute pictures with Louis, Sam and Willie. Everyone looks happy and I can feel the love in the house. ❤️
I took a moment to find Miranda’s kind words in an interview about you. Loved the story about you writing her a song and hoping the quarter would be from Oklahoma! Nice
Wormhole. Perfect description of what you do at work. I love to research things too and I see how you’re exactly the right person for the job. Tunneling back into history and connecting it to the present.
I treasure the words you shared today. I will read them again as I always do.
Thank you for writing to us yesterday & today. Was a treat.
And yes, I agree place the art supplies out of sight for a bit. You’ll come back to them when the time feels right.
Oh, I love all your pictures, thanks. You look great, Allison. And love that you wrote a song. There are songs waiting to be written. Hope to hear your future music. And I love all you shared, helping us, as well. Thank you for your prayer and insights. Sending love.
I am going back to an in-office job after 5 years next week. It's definitely worth it, as it's a big advance in my career. It's been in the works for a while, so I've been working on the transition: adjusting my schedule so that I'll be ready for the commute and moving my writing to the weekends, which used to be my days off. I've slowed my output with my writing, too; I've just been working on one story since mid-November. But it's my best work yet -- I've cut out all annoying affectations and smart-ass, crazy crap that I usually do. (Though I still think my Trump satire about a sentient sock puppet running for president deserves a home.)
I look forward to this Sunday List each week. Thank you for writing it! It's a great "reset" for my week ahead and I find myself in a much happier / calmer state after reading it.
I’m glad I found you..Sundays blessing!

Love that you unexpectedly wrote a song. Kudos!
Ah, Joan Didion. Have you watched the documentary about her directed by her nephew Griffin Dunne? You can stream it on Netflix. ❤️

Love your work desk lamp. Unique
Be careful out there in bad weather this week.
Thanks again Allison
