Hello - Words at the beginning, all I can say is WOW how appropriate today 😊.
As for music- I have really been getting into listening to Outlaw Country on Sirius, so much different music. If I am using Alexa this week my two requests have been TTB & Hayes. They both make me feel happy!
I like cool, smart and compassionate people, also. Dumb people irritate the hell out of me. I am not talking about ones who have a hard time learning. I am talking ones who won’t learn anything new and are clueless except to their own selfishness.
Peter Rowan has been on my speakers’s quite a bit. I could listen to Midnight-Moonlight over and over.
You share the most interesting things. Anita Pallenberg for one. Read briefly her background, marriage with Keith Richard’s , and modeling career. I understand what you mean “Inspiration isn’t free” after reading about her. And the podcast. The Streisand effect, & Loretta Lynn’s song the Pill. You must be in heaven with your job.
Cleo is a big puppy. Cute, Willie goes under the covers. Cleo is probably so happy to have a home & cousins she just can’t contain her excitement. Good on Shelby for rescuing her.
Your outfits for work look great! Love the beige suit. And your hair. Wow! It looks like you!
Thank you for the words of wisdom. I enjoy reading about your practices as they give me ideas for myself. Appreciated.
Funny, you ask about music. I just bought an oldie that I love. Al Jarreau
The first time I saw him he was the opening act for Melissa Manchester. Long time ago.
You asked what we're listening to lately: 1) Andrew Bird: Sunday Morning Put-On. 2) Lake Street Dive: Side Pony. 3) Corinne Bailey Rae: Closer EP (She's in my top 5 all-time modern Anglo musicians) 4) Shelby Lynne: I Am Shelby Lynne (25th Anniversary Edition) LP. 5) My usual garden variety of international music, including a Turkish Techno radio station on Apple Music. :)
Shelby has such a big heart rescuing beautiful Cleo. I hope Jetty is onboard with it. I don’t have much patience for most of the new music out now, but I’m intrigued by Sissy’s new album. Other than that, I’ve been listening to Stravinsky’s scores from the Ballet Russe.
Have you read Parachute Women?
I keep going back to a playlist by bajanga on Qobuz The Music of Harry Bosch.
Great list if one is just dipping one’s toes into Jazz.
Everyone matters or no one matters.
Harry Bosch
I love Michael Connelly books!!!!
This week’s music has been all Emmylou, all the time. I believe she is an actual angel.

Judee Sill
A Little Night Music - Sondheim

Also love Sissy’s new song (your bd song) — so gorgeous, and Murder on the Dance Floor❤️
