The Givenchy coat is so you. Good job. Also a question: when you are out on the road with Hayes do you get up there and sing a number or two? Every night only occasionally?
The Frida Kahlo series on PBS was riveting, albeit sad. I wonder what her life would have been like if she had not had that horrible accident. She was so gifted and had an indomitable spirit.
The holiday season tends to be overwhelming at times, so definitely try to remember to breathe, unplug, and reset.
P.S. On my Sunday List tonight - Steve Earle benefit concert for the Keswell school.
Thank you for your Sunday List. So many good things to read about! First I had to look up the definition of Imbue. Lovely word. I’m having been waiting patiently for the book Let Us Descend to arrive. Anxious to begin that book and now of course reading about The Comfort of Crows has peaked my interest. Anything to do with nature, gardens and creatures is surely of interest to me. I’m guessing the human element as we see the passing of time through nature , will probably make me cry. I can feel it already. 😌
You have such great taste in clothes! I LOVE every outfit you described... the outfit you’re wearing in the picture is a definite WIN. WOW. Sharp
Glad you’re enjoying your trip with Hayes. Sounds like you’ve visited some cool places in Houston.
Enjoy the tour with Hayes!
Take care of that hip pulling double duty... a tub bath with epsom salt might relax it after a long day.
Thanks again for writing. And yes slowing down, being mindful, checking ourselves in moments of “spilled soup”, make a BIG difference.
I'm always fascinated by what people eat for Thanksgiving. Gumbo sounds good. My family has sarma, an Armenian appetizer of grape leaves stuffed with rice and onion, and lemon squirted on top.
I’m trying to eat oatmeal these days. I’m cool. But mostly I’m hungry. I just learned that you can order from Cajun Grocer. Yessir, as much seafood and chicken/andouille gumbo as you can dream - and it comes from Louisiana in a cooler with dry ice.
I was at Shelby’s 21st (I think) birthday party before her first epic release and she sang covers in her own style. Been a huge gag of that VOICE since. So happy she signed with Monument. Benn a fan of yours since “The Horse Whisperer”. Love your duos! Spent 25 years in Nashville.
So much to absorb here. I’m about to have a fit over that coat!
Of course I had to share a piece of the “Yutori” wisdom via IG.
The concept changed my morning and gave me so much to think about through the day.
My daughter and I make a big gumbo dinner for Christmas Eve, a tradition that began when I was married to her dad and I only knew how to make one thing in large quantity. I had to bring something from my native South to this Eastern European clan besides bourbon ;)
Now that her father has passed away, we continue.
I am tempted however, by this Cajun Kitchen!
Thank you as always ... enjoy tour and that find of a coat!

Regarding The Raygun, I don't think I want to know

I started chanting "Show the coat!" - gorgeous. Happy holiday shows and and beyond! x
Did you fully recover from your injury Allison? I hope so if your wearing Stiletto Boots! ☺️♥️
