Thanks for your honesty about performing and performance anxiety. It sounds like you’re in a good place. But, I do hope you will perform with Shelby at some point. I’m happy for her and the new music that was just released. Enjoy your weekend!
How grateful I am to have seen you perform before this new chapter took place. No matter how being a performer made you feel, know that you are one of the greatest in my lifetime, and your voice will forever be my favorite.
Thanks for taking the time to reach out today… I understand what you’re saying about triggers & trauma. Im glad you’re lifting that weight off your shoulders.
I just yesterday decided to address mine. It was a good experience. And a start.
Lean into your work. It’s the perfect position for you. And if you ever sneak in a performance somewhere along the line, be it solo or with Shelby, know I’ll be cheering you on.
Enjoy your time with JH. I’m sure he’s excited to be home. 🦋
I am no longer a member but I recieved this message and wanted to say how proud I am of you for your message and how difficult it must have been to deliver your truth. One of the greatest things in my life was discovering that you existed not just as Shelby Lynne's little sister but as a wonderful human and artist in your own right. I have enjoyed your music a whole lot but I also know that the music business drove off the edge of the Earth some years ago. I am so glad to know that you've landed at a place that you love and can exhale. My love for you as a human being is humungous. All the best moving forward. You're awesome and as my first sponsor said to me, "you're good enough"❤️
Gal, you really don’t owe us nothin. We are (I am) here to support you in whatever way your path takes you. Your songs, your voice have hit me deep. Your writing has helped me illuminate my hurt and pain - and triumphs, however small. This small window into your journey has been such a blessing to me. You do YOU. I trust you will endure.
Excited for your new chapter! My youngest daughter is studying online with Harvard in Museum Studies. I think this is a great time to reimagine what museums are in light of all the social changes happening. I think this is a great time for you to throw your energies into this new chapter. Your experiences will lead you. Look forward on how you like cubicle life! lol (that’s what I do!)
Allison, thank you for your candor. I’m so happy for you that you’ve come to this place. It’s a hard-won victory, I’m sure. I’m grateful that I have all those wonderful records of yours to listen to.
I love you! You are so willing to bare your soul if you think it might help someone else. Life takes us in many directions and you have found a new path and I respect that. I can’t tell you how much your openness and honesty is appreciated by this soul on his journey! 💕💕💕
Oh my I so appreciate your willingness to be so open and honest. As a young boy growing up in Alabama I was sexually and physically abused by two family members. No support from any family members in my healing. I learned to get help any place I could. The Album Heal made me feel like I was wrapped in the arms of an angel. At 64 I am still growing and learning. I don’t regret the past or wish to shut the door on it . I see where my experience can benefit others (one of the AA promises). I have had so many chapters in my life and they all taught me something. I sometimes avoided grieving the closing of a chapter. Your answer to the question in the video helped me to officially grieve a chapter that ended in what felt like a failure. I am not as graceful as you but I can evolve.
This was unexpectedly moving--thank you for your candor. Isn't it funny, how we think we have it together when we are young, but most of us are really just blindly winging it, and don't realize it until we are "of a certain age." I'm 55, and am just now starting to figure out why I am the way I am. I have a lot more digging to do, and it's kind of scary, but I know I have some things to work out. I'm so, so happy for you that you have found a stable and fulfilling place to hang your hat. You give me hope that I can find my place, too. xx
Thank you for sharing your answer in an open and honest way. I know there are many musicians who have this anxiety, and never found out why. You help me understand it, in myself. I'm wishing you as much inner peace that is possible, filling your life with great joy. Love you, Allison.

Have a fun summer with John Henry! ♥️
Your honesty is what makes you such a beloved artist.

Allison,
Thanks for the Nashville suggestions. I particularly enjoyed the Hall of Fame, on your recommendation.
