Great question from Mr. Alex and great answer Ms Allison. Ms. Allison once again you've added pieces to the puzzle that is you. And you do it in a very visual way. Believe me when I say that I respect vegetarians. However, I believe that via natural selection, humans evolved to eat whatever was available in order to survive. There are nutrients that humans needs to survive that can only be obtained via eating meat of some sort (by meat, I am including fish). My ex wife was a vegetarian for many years. She has led a very spiritual life but she developed some serious health issues in her life and was told by doctors that in order to live that she needed nutrients that can only be obtained by eating some meat. She limits herself to chicken, turkey and eggs in modest amounts. She has survived against amazing odds against it and has convinced me that she will outlive most. So once again I've hijacked the narrative. Thanks for the opportunity to do so. Love as big as The Universe KP

I will be honest and say that I was moved to ask you the same question. The major portion of my heritage is Italian (they came over through Ellis Island in the late 1800s) and it's all meat and cheese. I am down to fish and poultry and eggs. I won't touch beef and haven't in over 15 years and I gave up Dairy because of the resulting cruelty that produces it and in an Italian household that causes a lot of problems. Never mind pork and lamb and anythi g else on 4 legs. So be it. My choice. I'm glad you clarified without me having to ask you because I wasn't sure I could. You also mostly only eat fish which is easy for us to miss or misunderstand when you tell us things you whip up for dinner at home...

Oft times the things I grill are not things I will eat, so I empathize. It still pains me, but I'm not eating them or partaking in their suffering for myself. It's the least I can do personally to stop the cruelty. But you still have to feed your family what they want.

We make whatever differences can. They truly all are horrible industries unless we're talking true "free range."

I'm headed upstsirs, now, for a homemade vegan pizza while everyone else went Dairy.

Great question.

Better answer.

Apologies for the "Oft times"...phone changes things even after I correct. I meant "Often times."

I relate. I have been either a vegan or vegetarian off and on for years. I'm off now. However, I am cutting back on my meat intake. It doesn't set we'll with me.

I truly think that you have the finest voice and singing style in Americana music today, and maybe ever. Have you recorded any new music lately? I realize that you are writing and doing other creative things.

I hope you'll be releasing a few new songs. Your songs have remarkable emotional expression.

Everything God has created is good,

Nothing is to be rejected,

if it is received with gratitude,

sanctified, set apart,

and dedicated to God.

He who is weak eats only vegetables.

But let no one despise him.

And let him who does not eat meat judge

him who does.

For God blesses them both. - mrveritas.substack.com
