I am surprised that you were not aware of your sister’s (Shelby Lynne) music career. That two you didn’t discuss the business of music. Just saying!

Hi Allison

I enjoyed listening to your response and can’t wait for the Sept interview you’ll be doing with Shelby.

Quite a lot to grasp as a young performer about having that 1 opportunity. Appreciate how candid you were.

I always love the videos. It’s nice to see you & hear your voice. Btw, you’re rocking some great arm muscles 💪

Yoga?

Enjoy your weekend!

I look back on the decisions of my early twenties (even though in a wildly different career arena) similarly in that I wished I had looked at certain things differently but do not regret my decisions. Thanks for sharing as always!

As co-writer, Your name is on a song that sustains me and has through a mother’s death, a sister‘s death, and that of relatives, close friends, and acquaintances. ‘Is Heaven Good Enough for You?’, a song that remains a favorite on a very short list of favorites, no matter the genre, puts your credibility as a songwriter on solid ground. Hold your head proudly that you have impacted life for many of us who find this song and your voice singing it to be a gift. Thank you, Allison.

I like where you are. I'll bet everything happened just as it should have :). My GF came from Australia to have me help on an album. Bruce Lundvall at Bluenote was crazy for her. But all those things you described tossed around in her head like mad.

Can you please tell us about Australia? And maybe even sing it for us? 🤣❤️👍

Allison,

Surely you know by now going the commercial route has its pitfalls too, with some totally regretting the decision to go that route because of compromises that had to be made. Anyway, I think you have and are continuing to do good work. That’s what really matters.
