Oh my word, just love this Question and answer!!! I feel so much the same as you, dear Allison. Music has been a part of my life since childhood, yet so has art and writing as what you have described as being an artist. Thank you, so much, for being YOU!!! And sharing!!! Love you!!! sigh....
Allison: thank you for this forum. I have made the fact that I miss seeing you perform, known to you and, you have thoughtfully answered me. And I accept it. I first knew of you not as a musician but what a thrill it was to discover that not only were you a musician but a really good one whose music really spoke to me. And I am a hard core blues and originalist rock and roller. All of this is to say that I am just happy that you exist in this world and that I have had a chance to see you perform. I have talked to you, taken a picture with you and now you've created this forum and have allowed even me to be a member. (I say that in the Groucho Marx manner in which he wouldn't trust a "club" that would have him as a member). I look forward to recieving alerts that you have published a new message. I guess I am just trying to say that it is an honor to just be included in this group and to be able to interact with you and the others. I love you no matter what❤️
If you do nothing else in your full, very talented life. your body of work will live on years after you. When studying and playing music in my youth, I was told no music is "perfect." However, "No Next Time" album version with "Lonesome Bob" is one of the finest, and closest to perfect songs ever recorded. It should be re-released as a single now, and made mandatory listening for everybody who wants to "make" classic music that will be enjoyed, and will last forever.
Thank you for this lovely response. I love the nesting dolls analogy. You are an artist at the core and I love that you go where the art wants to go. ❤️
