It’s fascinating to hear all these backstories. You sure had a terrific backup band. I’m glad that Dan Dugmore is still working steadily for many different artists. Your singing style has changed over the years, but your talent shines through loud and clear!

I always look forward to you singing Alabama Song. Mainly because it is very visual. I can see you kind of as a hippie in my imagination. And young and in love willing to follow the object of your love anywhere (hopefully to Alabama).

Thank you for taking the time to tell your own story thru the journey of your albums. I’ve only read what the music press has written about you during those years, so it’s great to read your version on how your art was created. Look forward to the rest!

Ever so my favorite…. for a Jewish girl from Queens, I have a Southern soul. Thank you for all the insights.

This was so fun to read. Reminds me of the days when I devoured album liner notes. Thank you so much.

Strange but I am really really enjoying your writing. I am interested in your story - and you know how to do it while not sounding like you are being clever with your writing. Very satisfying. As they say (used to say?), you go!

Killer song. Thank you for sharing these memories. Makes me love these songs even more. “Liner notes” as someone earlier said. The best kind. You didn’t get this much on an album cover. Loving this new venue and all you’re bringing to it and us. Much love AM! JB

I look forward to these writings so much! They have such a simple eloquence, and strength, and grace. And when combined with the songs of which you are writing, they paint such a beautiful picture. PLEASE, keep writing!

In 1998 I was recovering at home from a cranial aneurism repair, bouncing between MTV and VH1, and between the two I would have to pass over the country music channel (CMT?) and the video for this song caught first my eye, and then my ear as I paused my channel surfing to try and understand what I was seeing and hearing. The tune and video are, to my mind, about as close to perfection as you can get -- a song full of nostalgia, wanderlust, a love as much of places you've been and hope to be as it is about the person you want to be with. It just doesn't get much better than this. Thank you for all this.
