I just got my copy of the album/cd 3 days ago and listened to it yesterday. I remember you mentioning your comment about the sweat on your fingers so I got a chuckle out of that. I just love the inside stories, being a songwriter, studio guy myself (not to even begin to equate levels of success by any means) so the times when banter is left on a record, the backstories make the shared types of experiences feel even more real. A little closer in a cosmic entanglement sense.
One of my all time favorites, right here. I have played/watched the live version you did with Kenny last year for your show at home together at least 50 times. Killer rocker, AM. As is this version and any other I’ve seen. Keep being you, but make sure you’ve gone to the authorities about that letter. What makes these people think this way? Who could have a beef with you? You’re one of the sweetest people in the world! Damn cowards...
Very shocking to hear about that letter! It's so hurtful because I can't imagine anyone not appreciating your goodness and kindness towards others. This song is meaningful and has such a catchy tune, regardless of the original source of the lyrics. I'm looking forward to the livestream on Sunday and hearing your thoughts and perspectives on the book. I'm hoping your day takes a positive turn after such a rocky start.
I love the song, your voice and the story behind it. Thank you. And I'm praying a white light of protection all around you. And a veil of protection around your home. Love to you.
So sorry to hear that you recieved a hate letter. I can't even imagine that. The couple of times that I've seen and talked to you, you're the sweetest, kindest and I think maybe as shy as I am(which is saying something) and it would seem, not a mean bone in your body. So sorry.❤❤❤
Bukowski was a misogynist POS and Ginsberg is another POS. Did you know Ginsberg was one of the founders of NAMBLA? He should be hung while he how howls. Burroughs? Meh... but Kerouac? NOW we’re talkin’ about the best and only “Beat.”
I’d like to get my hands on the bastard who wrote you that letter! JB
I love this series on your songs. Thanks for sharing.

See you Sunday!
I love this song. I love singing it.
I especially love the melody on this one.
I love this thanks for sharing💓
I'm sorry you had to deal with hate mail. There will always be people out there who are mentally off enough to be so hateful. Sigh.
