I think your hair looked great, but I understand the frustration of a rainy day as a fellow curly girl.

Hi Allison

Look at sweet Lou in your arms… that’s a precious picture. I don’t think it would take much encouragement for him to gladly go home with you. You have to nice way with animals. Btw, your hair looks great pulled back in that picture.

I could see you one day on a piece of property with a sweet home writing & painting the days away. A few chickens and a goat or 2 , some barn cats & a couple of dogs. Of course stepping out now and then to the city to sing & enjoy the “doins”.

Felt a little run of excitement about your loose goal. I know it’s rolling around in your head. Hard to hold an outstanding writer down forever.

There something special brewing, I can feel it.

Every week I see such a nice change in the pictures of you. More relaxed. Smiling wider. Eyes bright. You look great Allison.

Lots of rain expected this week. Please be careful driving.

Thanks for sharing so many good things today.

xo

Why wouldn't I get something I'd want for myself as a gift for someone else? They probably wouldn't enjoy it. I'm an eccentric and an oddball who reads literature from small presses (RIP Small Beer), but also watches pro wrestling and has written a Beavis & Butthead spec script. (They meet a dachsund: "That is one long, fat weiner!") It would be a mistake to assume anyone else enjoys what I enjoy. (I don't even really fit in at sci-fi conventions, as my writerly influences are a mix of Peter S. Beagle, Jeffrey Ford, Philip Roth, and Michael Chabon.)

I hope more of your writings become song lyrics that you share with the world. I also hope you continue to enjoy composing these Sunday Lists, and they never become a chore.

Beautiful and very true words by David Brooks. I’ve been asked, you’ve made a living doing what you do? I always respond, well, I’m still alive.

Beautiful pictures, and writing. Thank you. I wrote about Kendrick's half time show on my fb page: "What did Kendrick Lamar say when he won 4 Grammys last week? "RESPECT THE ART FORM" (twice.) He and his fans know half of America would complain about his art form after Super Bowl. I am always curious about life/art/music. Look at what young people listen to. Taylor, Kendrick, Beyonce, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish, etc... These artists may not interest you, but they're the top selling artists, today. I think of how much fun it was to be young and love the artists. But most will only listen to classic rock all their lives, or country, metal, jazz, blues, folk, americana. It's ok, yet please don't hate & spread hate. What for?" and posted Mercy Mercy Me, by Marvin Gaye. Also, just thought of a song you might like, when you wrote about journaling here. Thank you. "Will Anybody Know That I Was Here" by Mary Lee Kortes.

Your gratitude is so true. The world is what it is. But your perspective can change everything. And one person’s bad hair day is someone else’s coiffure. It looks great. Consider giving yourself a spritz before heading out on a dry day.
