I’ve often wondered what a Tennessee Christmas is like because of that beautiful song by Amy Grant. I loved the holiday season especially when I live for a few years in Maine. Christmas is very different to the USA and the UK here in Switzerland.
New Braunfels! I had lunch there at the Smokehouse on my wedding day (Wife #1) on the way to our short honeymoon in Austin. It’s a long time since I have thought about that place.

I love your home and how you’ve adorned your spaces. Your eucalyptus, and rabbit fern are lovely. My eucalyptus hangs in my shower. Whatever you wrapped the base of your Xmas tree with, burlap or other, is beautiful. Nice, classy, tasteful
I spotted your sage and the round metal ball you treasure, and the arrow.
I like the wave in your hair, great look with black collar ! The vest is sharp with the linen pants & jacket .

Melissa solo, and as part of an extraordinary trio, with Kelly Willis, and Brennen Leigh, as well as another crazy good trio, Shelby Lynne, Mandy Barnett, & Emily West!!! Have seen Emily solo as well. Dale Watson, Maggie Rose are also my favorites this year!!! Lyle Lovett, Amythyst Kiah, Brian Setzer, Kyshona Armstrong, Billy Idol, The Mavericks, Steve Earle, & Dwight Yoakam round out my favorite shows I’ve seen this year.
Ms. Allison: speaking of family, I have spoken, at one time or another to a number of folks who follow you here and the one universal truth amongst all, is, to echo Maya Angelou is: that everyone in this group feels about you as part of their family. And love you as much as family. Having said that, I was wondering if, when you go on the road with Mr. Hayes, do you get up and sing every night? Do you sing more than one or two songs, finally, do you ever perform a set like an opening act. Unfortunately I live in Detroit and evidently there is an anti-Americana force field that surrounds the entire city and outer environs. So I would have to travel, as I often do, but I ain't goin' to Texas. I love you a bushel and more❤️

This time of year can indeed be hard. I won't let myself dwell on bad Christmas memories. However, the lack of sunshine is getting to me.
