“Ultracrepidarian: Someone who speaks or offers opinions on matters beyond their knowledge or expertise.” Sounds like my teenage sons. Now I know.. lol!
Your trip to NC looks so serene and perfect to share with two favorite companions. Perhaps your revisitation with Coco Chanel inspired you to find those classic Oxford shirts—simplicity and style. I still have many “vintage” GAP cotton turtlenecks that have stood the test of time. Your elephant prints reminded me of my childhood affinity for baby elephants (I portrayed one in a kindergarten circus play).
I’m behind in my Nepo reading, but love the anticipation in these “ here’s what’s coming” signs.
Your North Carolina trip brings up memories of lovely childhood days spent on road trips. It was accessible to my parents when they were young without much to spend, much like the Florida panhandle. I’m so fortunate that they piled us in the car with potted meat sandwiches and some Cokes, and called it vacation ❤️
Sounds like y’all had a wonderful trip to NC. You weren’t far from my sweet little Murphy, and maybe Shelby drove through the beautiful Nantahala forest on your way to Brevard.
The picture of you and JH is especially cute. His smile reminds me of yours and the pic where he’s looking over the boardwalk reminds me of his Aunt Shelby. Both share the same contemplative look. And of course that great hair. Handsome boy.
Oh the Wholeness of Life. I like the analogy about “us” and erosion of elements. It makes sense and it feels that way lots of times. Doing pretty well to not form opinions and calmly see how life unfolds. It can be scary to trust. But I feel more confident trusting myself now than I have in a long time.
I like the note you wrote in the margin.
Cute Cute Cute Gap white shirt. Can do so many things with it. Paired with the right jeans & shoes ALWAYS a winner. Love the look.
There really is no place like home no matter how wonderful the travel might be. I’m glad you all enjoyed your trip together. Lots of fun I’m sure.
Will keep an eye out for the elephants this week 🐘
Thank you for sharing, as always. The pictures of your NC trip with your sister and John Henry captured the special love of it all. And I have to tell you I had a dream last week of being in a large crowded room of people at tables, when a woman stood up with a guitar and walked between the tables working her way towards me with smiles in her eyes. I bowed my head and asked the Lord to help me find something to sing, and it turned out to be a song about sharing Love, expressed so originally, I was enjoying it so much, and then it was requested I sing another, and I just started singing about how lonely it is as you are aging, along with others, yet it is so good, full of beauty as you grow. and then I woke up. So it thrilled me to hear your thoughts of loneliness here on your list. My My. Life is so cool. Sending love sm,iles and sunshine this last week of February, into March.

I thought I had already seen your Sunday list for this week that should show you where my head is at
I just wanted to let you know that your Sunday lists always lift my spirits and start my week off on the right road

I believe that you think about everything in details to much instead of just living life. RELAX
Been tracking and following BOH since they got together! I was so happy to see that H is jumping in with them. Wow! That will be pure magic.
I’m in awe and in love with the elephants. That’s Joy to me, and thank you for them.

Love everyone's comments here. And the elephants, who I have a deep love for. An amazing brilliant animal. Beautiful art.
Your Sunday lists are an important guide to the week ahead thank you for sharing your thoughts 💙
I wish I could get those oxford shirts, but they would look ridiculous on my 5-foot-tall body. Sigh.
Adored 💞 thank you!
