The beautiful string of words you put together to express your deep insights always lifts me up. Thank you for sharing yourself so openly, with so much love.
Nice assortment of Sunday shares! I did purchase the Quindlen book, but haven’t started reading it yet. I’m working my way through the wonderful but dense book “Mr. B” about Balanchine. On a similar note, I have tried Feldenkrais, but it a bit too slow-moving for me. I’m sure it’s therapeutic if you give it a chance, so I’m interested to hear your thoughts if you try it.
I relate to this on so many levels. It’s reassuring to know I am not alone in my habit of seeking positivity and aiming for balance and avoiding extremity. I wish I believed in a great spirit. Paying it forward one person at a time is also a modus operandi of mine. 🤷🏼♂️
Allison: I am convinced after so many years of searching for the meaning of life that we are designed by God to be "perfectly" imperfect. Because if we were perfect we wouldn't need Him. We must guard against ruthless and evil humanoids who may want to plug us into their warped agenda from cradle-to-grave.
God's challenge to us is to follow His Word, learn His philosophy and keep His laws, (the greatest of which is), "love thy neighbor as thyself." A life of evil will forever doom those, who by their corporeal passions, lose their metaphysical reward of Heaven for eternity. Our goal must be to live a kind, peaceful, loving life devoid of Evil.
However, a faithful life always doing good is very difficult. No matter how hard I try, temptation often wins. That is why I always say I am a terrible Christian. Also, I never turn the other cheek. And I believe to avenge is sweet. One day my bad angel was trying to seduce my good angel, and she was smiling. I knew that day I was in serious trouble. _ Mr. Veritas
Im interested in feldenkeis also. I lost my voice a few years ago, and it’s one of the most heartbreaking losses I’ve ever experienced. Have tried almost everything except feldenkreist. Most pain in my right side also.
Thanks for your open shares.
Btw, I’d love to hear about your experience w singing Cerric Fergus… I absolutely love that song and your rendition… it makes me cry so much every time.
My family is all from Ireland, and my dad just died. I play that song and cry my eyes out.
Thank you for acknowledging Jimmy Carter. He's one of my favorite people. I honor all of his contributions to humanitarian causes and what he stood for as a decent human being.
