I LOVE the dessert plates. WOW. So cool. And the pictures of the candle holders with wax drippings. Beautiful yellow/golden wax. Sterling spoons. All of it. Like a still life painting. I thought the coolest pic was the one with the arrow seemingly to go throw your hair!

I wish I wasn’t so self conscious about writing too much. I always appreciate the your words and how you feel about things. I learn something or see myself in your words. I love your words Walking quietly with myself & finding lots of comfort. Excitement wears off.

I can't imagine you being bored, Allison. Ha. Maybe the word is Stillness. My life was based on excitement, too, and that has been a big change for me, into Stillness, and it's bittersweet, yet mostly sweet. I've put Alan Watts The Book on a list to order next. Thanks for referring it. One of my favorite songs by Sade is Soldier of Love. Love to you, smiles and sunshine, too.

"I’m beginning to know what poisons I bring to the table and how to keep from serving it to others." I love this. I am also cooperating and co-percolating with my higher self on how to be good to me. It took a long while, but it feels really good to be here now. I can only expect it's going to get better. Lately I've been giving attention for the four or fifth time to The Four Agreements. Simple, but meaningful stuff. Thank you, Allison for taking the time to share these things.
I understand about being addicted to excitement. When you come from childhood trauma, it's easy to become addicted to excitement. Like you, I'm finding the excitement within.
when i was a kid, and i told my Daddy I was “bored” he’d say “you don’t have to be entertained.” I’m so grateful for those words now. It’s true - i relish the time, space & quiet for finding boredom. I am - along with my best pup - my favorite person to hang out with.
My calendar tells me that, somehow, ten years have passed since your Celtic Connections show at St Andrew's In The Square here in Glasgow. 30 January 2015. Time flies.
