Quote
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as if nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is a miracle. — Albert Einstein
You don’t have to be perfect to have made tremendous progress. If you are reacting less intensely then before, if your mind feels lighter, if you are making better decisions, then you are moving in a good direction. Mistakes will happen, setbacks are common and that is ok and natural. — Yung Pueblo
Person
Willie. Because he is often my favorite person and always my best friend.
Song
“Feet off the Ground” by Brent Cobb featuring Jade Bird. Simply lovely.
I watched
Hayes and I caught up on the two episodes of 1923 we’d missed. I still have to forward through the violence and now there are also prostitutes and that’s not my favorite either (to each their own), but Taylor Sheridan’s writing is good and seems to get better and better, which is incredible considering he’s writing about 137 shows at the same time.
Book
I’m slowly reading The Rabbit Hutch, which I love. I keep it on my nightstand and read a few or more pages every night when I turn in if I can keep my eyes open for that long. Thank you, Tess Gunty.
Thing
My copper ball. I found it in Colorado last summer when I was in need of grounding forces. It’s cool. It’s comforting. I pick it up from where it rests on my altar some mornings when I need weight in my hands. It reminds me that I am of both the earth and the stars.
Favorite Photo I Took This Week
Athena at Nashville’s Parthenon.
Wish
That you will forward this to one person and that person becomes a subscriber too.
Prayer
Thank you, Great Spirit, for showing me what I need to see.
Intention for the week to come
May I be calm, kind, and available to those who need me.
Something I’m thinking about
Stillness. I don’t leave my house and go to a studio for my yoga practice. I use the Down Dog app. I like to be able to practice where and when I want, and also like to customize my practice to what I feel I need, which Down Dog allows. I did a yin practice the other day, which is quite slow compared to the pace at which I normally go — long holds, the deepest bends. The yoga mat is one of the few places I can go in life and just be there. I don’t fight with time. I am there until I’m not anymore and have noticed that I can accept that reality instead of trying to negotiate with it these days. That’s real progress in for me, so I need to write that down and let y’all read it. Anyway — the yin practice deepens my awareness of that presence and allows my muscles to really surrender, which is such a relief.
Before enlightenment; chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment; chop wood, carry water. — Buddha
Habit
Balancing my experiences. When I practice seeing positivity instead of negativity, my vibration is positive instead of negative. Enough said.
Have a wonderful week.
Lots of love,
Allison

Thank you, Allison. As always, I learn from your writing. This week, I, too, am thankful, as in your prayer. So thankful for the Great Spirit's teaching... "Thank you, Great Spirit, for showing me what I need to see." Oh, how I needed to see. and p.s. I can't believe how tall John Henry is, these days. in a picture you posted of the two of you, walking... wonderful!
