You’re lucky. I’ve been using them since my early 40’s. They just keep getting stronger. I’m +2.5 now.

I’m obsessed with readers ;)

Yours are great!

I was in Nashville all last week for AmericanaFest and having lots of trouble getting back into any kind of focus this week. I have two pieces to write and a dog in the “cone” zone. I believe I need a writers room too 😐

That’s spec-tacular! My nearsightedness actually improved, so that’s one benefit of aging.

First: being able to see is a good thing. There is a lot of blindness in the world but I won't go there. Also I'm not sure if these drop in messages bring out an informal you but your South Alabama speaking voice shows up more than sometimes and this is music to my ears. I've mentioned before that when I hear you talk I hear the sound of my kinfolk and I could listen to you talk for days. I almost expect you to start telling stories about Uncle Ben over yonder or cuz Charlotte who will never shut up. Anyway all the best with all your endeavors. I/we all love you here and everywhere.

Just when I thought you couldn't possibly get any more adorable, you show up in those fishbowl glasses. You look great and they allow you to create those wonderful paintings and sketches. Really appreciate your sharing your journey w/ us.

It makes me so happy to see others calm, at peace, at ease and in love with them selves. I get all teary-eyed in the good kinda ways. Love this. Thank you. Paintings are amazing and love, love, love the Spirit Guide. Cannot wait to see what flows forth, it's going to be so good I can feel it.

Eyesight is such a gift. 6 years ago, when I had a stroke, I temporarily lost most of the vision in my right eye. That was so frightening! Thank God this loss was only temporary! With a few days my vision was almost back to normal. This experience made me realize that we take our vision, hearing and sense of smell and touch for granted. These really are such precious gifts! Px👍

I’m super excited about your novel too! When you mentioned your writer’s room, I had a very clear vision of you in there with your story coming to life around you. It felt kind of magical. ❤️

Allison, have you ever considered PRELEX, clear lens exchange (CLE), clear lens extraction (CLE), and refractive lens replacement (RLR). It's the same as cataract surgery. The doctor makes a small cut at the edge of your cornea. They remove your natural lens and replace it with a plastic lens implant.? I had it done upon the advice of my ophthalmologist. I elected laser surgery which was totally painless and I don't need glasses, contacts or "cheaters." My vision is better now that when I was in my 20's and I'm 79 years old. I didn't even have recovery time. I now kiddingly tell everyone I have "bionic eyes." Be healthy. Be safe.

Allison, I did see it another way, when it happened to me.The need of contacts and readers was the chance I had for figthing to increase my vision, and I did it. After 20 to 30 days exercising my eyes the results begun to come. After 3 months, I was free of wearing contacts and readers. The colours turned brighter and the lines got back as a miracle in my life, and the price? Only 2 to 3 minutes of exercises a day.
