I was holding my breath a bit because I noticed you missed your Wednesday post. I’m relieved everything is okay for the most part, but of course every day and every week has its share of challenges. That intricate bird’s nest is a reminder of life’s beauty and complexities.

If I pass you on the streets of NYC this weekend, don’t forget to stop and say hey!!

For whatever reason, you writing about you garden got me thinking about the garden of the home I grew up in in Southern England. Now I know what it is. We had to take down some trees to build a garage and, as part of a “Plant a Tree in ‘73” initiative, just after my mother died, we planted a White Birch. I love looking at it on Google Earth! Px❤️

I hope you will either dig that Jap Maple into the earth before the frost … or have a space inside for it to be warm winter season?

(Is it red or green?)

When I see your posts come in I plan a break in my day, grab a cup of tea or snack and dive into your words. So refreshing and alive. I love bird’s nest and how intricate they are. Those birds sure do know their architecture. The maple is beautiful

and the Italian pot is a perfect choice. Happy birthday to your mama last week. That’s a beautiful way to honor her. Always healing and invigorating to work in the yard. I plan the sweat and getting dirty in the early part of the day in case I have to clean myself up in the afternoon. That usually doesn’t work and I stay dirty and sweaty all day and feel so much better that I did. Your story sounds fascinating and the prep work is informative and instructional. Good luck to John Henry and his school year.

I love the idea of a supernatural element in the novel. Maybe you will write a sequel to the novel. One never knows.

I’m so glad you’re ok. I was worried and thought maybe your shin injury had hurt you more than i thought

The bird nest is beautiful as is the branch with the small nests & Shelbys hand carved birds. Nice. Love the teepee idea, sounds like something I’d do too!

Your mom would really love the tree & the thought. 💗

Fascinated by the water/ mystical idea. I think it brings intrigue to the story line and look forward to the character that has the powers to see the future reading the water. I did some reading on that. Very interesting.

Hope JH enjoys, prospers going back to school.

Have safe travels today. Look forward to Sundays post.

No matter how many years pass, it's good to honor our loved ones in Spirit world and especially on their birthday. One year, I baked a cake for my husband, then realized it was only me and had to eat the whole thing. :) Love all the nature therapy! And congrats to you on plotting out a novel. I'd back off that 800 page idea, though. :) As an author, I can assure you there are very few folks that would invest the time it would take to read that much. Or you could divide it into two novels. Then the next thing you know, you have a series. Fun stuff! As always, thank you for your honest sharing!

Oh Allison, I can delight in your weird all day every day. Eagle size nest living art piece AND a tipi in the yard. I'm crashing that party! Seriously though, it sounds so divine. Love. It. And Shelby's collaboration with nature is beautiful. I remember a few years back a post where she shared a video of baby hummingbirds (three I think) in a nest, "They're hummingbirds y'all." I can hear her say in a soft, innocent, feminine voice of joy and awe. Would that happen to be the same nest? (That'd be cool!) Keep creating Sisters. We are all here to graciously receive.
