Thanks once again for you thoughts. It’s also really nice to be able to listen to you. I am envious of your discipline early morning. Now I am no longer working, I have time to establish my own time for meditation and reflection so thanks for the inspiration. Px

Not sure what you mean by being a “terrible meditator.” You shouldn’t be judging yourself to begin with, and certainly not expect your mind to wander or have intrusive thoughts. That’s not the point of meditation in the first place…

As far as calling yourself a “jackass,” I’ve become quite fond of donkeys these days after seeing “EO” and “Banshees of Inisherin.” So, I find that term quite endearing, especially on such a lovely being as yourself. Be kind to Allison!

Jackasses are awesome....i do tm every am and am sometimes due to myself or cats fidgety but the very reason i love tm is there's no judgement no religious nor any demands...it's as y'all describe a part of modern life and a wonderful tool...23 or 24 minutes a morning can save lives ...and help other people and cats sleep more...lol...thanks Allison ur a gem..we can be asses as a community of love minded peeps

I do know that everyone is a terrible meditator. And I know that’s the point. And I have no issue calling myself one! I also love jackasses, donkeys, mules, burros, any beast of burden. Any beast of any kind. If I had my druthers, I’d surround myself with four-legged creatures. x

Melody Beattie, Marianne Williamson - I have spent a lot of mornings with them and my daily readings. I also recommend Tian Dayton as well. Forgiveness is something we all need and we all need to do more often. Thank you for these writings.

Tian Dayton’s book is Daily Affirmations for Forgiving & Moving On. I think it will resonate with your thoughts and what you having been reflecting about in your life.

I relate. My inner toddler has run the show for far too long. I use tapping to remind myself that the adult me is in control.
