Today is the day! I can finally share the first song from Wish For You. It’s a song of the same title, and I’m beyond excited about it — I feel like this is the most important art I’ve ever made. The main melody is John Henry’s!

This music is truly the most soul-filling, most joyous, and most free that I’ve ever made. It’s funny that it took me so long to feel that way, but it is also evidence of the fact that my son is my greatest teacher. I try to never regret, and only see every step as part of the journey that got me to the present moment. This present moment feels rich, full, always complicated, of course, but wonderful.

I would not be able to present these songs to you without having had the help of my true soul brother Kenny Greenberg. He was with me every step of the way for the creation of this music, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Our partnership and friendship is one of the greatest blessings of my life.
