A strong internal truth.
I guess it’s another way of saying you have to know who you are.
This world is so influenced by falsity—one promotion machine after another clamors for our attention—it’s no surprise we all have anxiety. We have no common truth anymore. It seems like anything can be bought and paid for. I hear about the youngs rejecting digital for analog but I haven’t seen it. Not that anyone needs to reject digital, I probably won’t if I have the choice, I only thought we’d have seen more of a radical turning away of the virtual by now, but turns out we like being fed information we agree with. We like convenience. The cost of that is never being challenged, which makes us lazy and disrespectful of ourselves and therefore others.
