I'm wondering where you stand on Covid?
Do you go along with those disgraceful former hippies Neil Young and Joni Mitchell who wanted to vaccinate everybody?
Or have you seen through the scam?

Dear Paul,
Part of me wanted to send this question to the trash bin. Maybe it’s the mood I’m in today, but I think I’ll take it on.
Where I stand on COVID is I had it in June 2022. My son had it twice — in January of that year and again when he got it in June 2022 right along with me. My husband had it. My sister had it. I knew people who died from it. Practically everyone I know has had it I think we all might get it again.
I couldn’t wait to get vaccinated. I’m a gratefully healthy person, but I wanted to protect those around me whose lungs and immune systems aren’t as healthy as mine. Plain and simple. I’ve had no adverse effects from my March 2021 vaccination or the booster I got in December 2021.
I wanted my fellow musicians to get their jobs back. I wanted everyone to get their jobs back. I wanted to be able to travel without having my brain swabbed with a qtip. I wanted to unmask myself and everyone around me.
But here’s the real reason I’m answering you: that you have the nerve to send this ridiculous piece of correspondence to me. I’m surprised to see you’re actually a subscriber, because anyone who knows anything about me knows I am far from conservative, and every link you included was from some conservative woman website. Hmmm. I don’t know, Paul, seems like you’re trying to get some sort of reaction from me. Seems like you’re trying to start something. You won’t get what you desire. What you will get instead is a directive to never send another offensive thing like this to my inbox.
You think Neil Young and Joni Mitchell are disgraceful for their beliefs? How would you feel if I called you the same for yours? Dude, I’m as hippie as it gets, except that I completely and totally believe in the power of actual real medical vaccinations for the greater good of humankind. That doesn’t mean they have no potential to be harmful, but what doesn’t in some way? If you don’t want one, don’t get one, but please don’t forget about the 1.1 million people who died from COVID-related causes.
And Paul, poke me again at your peril. This is a place of positivity and love and this community will have none of what you seem to want to bring here.

My mouth was agape reading his question. He had a mean tone to his question too. I agree with what you said Allison. I had every vaccine that was offered. Glad he was removed from our community. You did right. I’m proud of you.

I’m slightly (or extremely) nauseated by the question, but I’m proud of you for responding with such intelligence, concern, and scientific knowledge. I’m tired of this polarizing issue and what has transpired because of this type of ignorance.
