July 06, 2025 || The twenty-seventh weekend of 2025 (we passed the halfway mark) || The moon is in Scorpio, possibly bringing a day of heightened emotions and potential for conflict
I look forward to reading these each week. I loved your interview of your sister. Y'all both shine and exude so much love and musical talent. When you sing together: sublime. Have a great week.
George is my favorite Beatle, too. I saw a copy of this album at a flea market. But... this guy had all his stuff without prices marked... no sleeves. Then he quoted me $150. (My research says it would have to be pristine to be worth this.)
I am suspicious of this setup -- I think they might be trying to play people as marks. And if you're going to try to sell me used records at premium prices, I expect to see them being protected like they're worth it.
I did inherit a copy of The Concert for Bangladesh, which is one of the cooler items I have.
My bearing can present as a bit, well, goofy, I guess, awkward and uncoordinated. And this leads people to underestimate me, and sometimes they try to put one over on me or mess with me. They find out real quick just how sharp I really am. I don't get fooled, and people who try to talk shit to me get the worse end of those exchanges.
Not gonna lie—I missed having your Sunday post last week! I was hoping it was for a “good”busy reason, and not something stressful. You’ve already accumulated a great deal of wisdom, so 20 years from now, the passage of time will serve you and others well.
Allison, I always appreciate your musings. (I think that's a word) George is also my favorite Beatle.. I used to have a *major* crush on him in middle school (along with Dylan) and listened to All Things Must Pass on repeat.. I agree it is brilliant, esp the title song, which has comforted me many times in this world of love and inevitable loss.
Thank you for always including both the joys and the sorrows... the joys of a beautiful bee, deer, or adorable Sam, and the current challenge of no time for you. I so get it.
Thank you for always sharing your authentic voice, in all the ways.💛💛💛🌺🐝🐈🎸
I’ll pass on some hard won wisdom I own from business ownership: change is coming. When things are good, change is coming. When things are bad, change is coming. Knowing this allows me to not be complacent or get bogged down. As the best Beatle advised “all things must pass.”
Growing up, I also used the phrase "This too shall pass" quite a bit, sometimes adding "... like a kidney stone." Painful, in extreme cases has to be surgically removed, but eventually it passes. I love your work, your writing, and your music. It is a pleasure to read your weekly list.

Hang in there, you’ve got this.
I feel the same about 'All Things Must Pass'
I also have days where I just listen to Dylan for the whole day
Tough being a single mom!
