I had decided it was this:
The world has gone to shit
Stay home
Peace and love to all.
And maybe that was negative and I made it come true. Nah, I don’t have that kind of power, but this is all to say I’ve been trying to get home from NYC since Monday morning. I’m currently in a rented Ford Explorer in standstill traffic somewhere on a back road two hours from home. And that’s only because an actual angel — forever indebted to you, Constance at Avis, for lying to the computer and letting me have it when they were out of cars because of everyone renting one-way to get where they were trying to go. Like me.
This is me when the car cranked and I could get away from an airport.
If you’re home and warm, maybe it would be a good time to take a second for gratitude. I will kiss the ground when I see Music City. As for now, I’m vibrating with exhaustion. I’ll report the actual journey this week. But it went like this - nyc to Miami to Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta to this little spot in a place called — wait for it — Old Hooker. Dying.
So I’m listening to music and decompressing. At least I got a way to do that before I have to be near a suffering segment of humanity again. Bless us all.
I hope y’all are having a good week.
Peace. Love.
Allison
