Hey Y’all.
I’m so grateful to say that I’ve gotten some amazing pledges from this community. Here are a few to give you an example of the kindness I’ve been receiving:
Sharon said, Allison, I’ve been anticipating what I get to read next from you. Through your honesty, vulnerability, truth, humor, wisdom and straight up talk I’ve been paying attention to all of your words. You are so fluid with your writing. I’m caught on every word. So thank you for all that you are teaching me. You are an artist on all levels. Love your art! Peace and love to you.
John Y. said, I appreciate your art and your honesty. Your songs and books would be enough, but your posts add another, very human and very relatable, dimension to your work. Thanks for all you share.
I’m so happy and humbled to know we’re making a connection.
I’m going to turn on paid subscriptions April 1. If you’ve made a pledge, that means you’ll be charged the amount you’ve pledged, if I understand how it works correctly. It’s weird for me to do this — a lot of you who’ve been reading my writing for a while know that I write because it’s what I do, and I share because I feel compelled to. I have no expectations about any of this, and can only say thank you and I will do my best to live up to your belief in me and my art.
What will be available to paid subscribers only:
Friday Q + A
My Sunday List
Music Posts
A podcast version of The Sunday Selfie Series (in the works)
I will continue to make my weekly journal posts available to everyone, and will occasionally share everything with everyone.
If you’d like to support The Autotelic, I thank you for doing so. If not, please continue to hang out and join the conversation. All are welcome here.
Thank you for being part of my journey of art, discovery, and healing.

I’d be happy to do this. Not only are you an excellent writer/artist, your self-reflections recently have really helped me, even though our situations are very different. Cx
