Dear Friends,
I’m happy to report that “Five Holiday Favorites,” is now up on all the streaming platforms. It is also available for sale. When I decided on a whim to make the EP last year — I think I called Kenny two weeks before Thanksgiving and asked if he wanted to do it and luckily for me he said yes — we didn’t have time to release it any other way but through Bandcamp. I love Bandcamp and thanks to those of you who bought it that way. Just letting all of you know it is now available here.
I also made a list of songs that I like to listen to this time of year. Here’s a link to a Spotify playlist:
And here’s a list of the songs I included if you’d like to make your own:
My Favorite Things - Barbra Streisand
O Tannenbaum - Vince Guaraldi Trio

Wonderful Christmastime - Paul McCartney
Last Christmas - Wham!
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Judy Garland
Go Tell it On The Mountain - Allison Moorer

The Christmas Song - Frank Sinatra
And one more thing!
Would you like a recipe? This is the pecan pie I make, which is my grandmother’s recipe. And yes, I use a frozen crust. I can’t do it all, folks.
CLASSIC PECAN PIE
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. KARO light or dark corn syrup
1 c. sugar
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. pecan halves
1 unbaked pie crust (Nanny says get pillsbury)
In large bowl stir eggs, corn syrup, sugar, margarine, and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry shell. Bake in 350 degree oven 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Let cool before serving. A la mode, optional.
Stay tuned for more coming your way before the end of 2021.
Sending love everywhere,
AM
PS: There are a few signed, hardcover, first edition copies of “Blood,” in the store.
Thank you 🌲🎼🙂
Thank you especially for that recipe! I’m a cook, so I love collecting and trying family recipes. Your EP is beautiful. Merry Christmas. 🎄
